We have undergone extensive training to identify points of concern, so can certainly advise if we think there is a danger of shrinkage. One reason for shrinkage is the introduction of too much water to the carpet that the face fibers, or backing absorb. With the extensive drying steps that we take, this is not likely to happen.

Another reason for shrinkage is the type of carpet that we are cleaning. If we are faced with a Belgium Wilton (VERY RARELY) for example, we will advise of our findings and discuss with customer. There is a chance this type of carpet will ‘shrink’ due to moisture levels. If a carpet ever does come away from the wall, we work with a number of local carpet fitters who can stretch the carpet back onto the gripper rods.
